My Hermes is dedicated to sending your parcels with care. Yet, parcels can travel many miles to reach their final delivery destinations. In order to ensure your parcel arrive in best possible circumstance, here are some helpful guide on packaging: 

Keep in mind the Dos of Packaging your parcel:

  1. High quality packing: Please Consider strength, stifling, and stability when selecting your packing.
  2. Ribbed cardboard: Select boxes made of ribbed cardboard, with good quality outer liners.
  3. Strapping: Use strapping, when appropriate, as a good way to cover and secure your box.
  4. Strong parcel tape:  Use strong tape if a strapping machine is not available.
  5. Three-sided tubes: Use three-sided tubes, not round tube-type cylinders, to pack rolled plans, maps and outlines.
  6. Jiffy bags: Remember always to parcel small items in Jiffy Bags.
  7. Use partitions: Always use cardboard dividers when sending flat, fragile material.
  8. Remove tags: When re-using a box, kindly remove all labels. 

Don’ts of packaging your parcel:

  1. Attractive packaging:  Don’t send your goods sold in good-looking packaging as they cannot suitable for delivery.
  2. Badly packaged: Don’t use damaged cartons, make sure that the box is in good shape and not damaged out.
  3. Label as fragile instead of careful packing: Please do not consider ‘Fragile’ and “handle with care” labelled for careful packaging. They are only used for informational purposes.
  4. Don't allow contents to move: Select the suitable size of packing for the things you are sending.
  5. Cloth or fabric bags: To make sure your items are sufficiently secure - don't use bags made of fabric or cloth.  
  6. Resend parcel without removing old labels: Don’t reuse old packaging with removing all earlier labels and stickers.
  7. Prohibited goods: Don't send hazardous or banned goods as you might be responsible to prosecution.
